Morning Care (K-8 Students)

Morning Care is offered for K-8 students only.  Parents may drop students off at the K-8 building beginning at 7:00am where they will be supervised by our Morning Care staff until it is time to report to class.

Cost: $100 per month

Payment: Due at the beginning of each month

After Care (PK3, VPK, & K-8 Students)

After Care is available Monday - Friday from the end of the school day until 5:30pm.

Enrollment is pre-reserved only, and families must register at least two weeks in advance for each student attending.  Space is limited; families registering after August may be placed on a waitlist.

Additional Fees:

• $35 annual, non-refundable registration fee (per family)

• Monthly tuition payments are due at the beginning of each month; all standard tuition policies apply. (August billing will occur the week after school begins)

• A two-week paid written notice is required to withdraw a student from the program

• No After Care is available for PK2 Students.

 

After Care Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00 -5:30PM

Wednesday: 2:15 - 5:30PM

Wrap Around Care (Preschool Students)

Hours: 1:45 - 3:35PM

Cost: $10/day

Wrap Around Care is available for preschool students who are siblings of WCA K-8 students.  Preschool students will "wrap over" (walk over) to the K-8 building to join their sibling for dismissal.

​

No snack is needed for Wrap Around Care.  Students will play outside (weather permitting) and then rest inside once carline begins.

​

Extended Care Attendance:

At the end of the school day, your child's classroom teacher will escort them to the designated After Care location.  

​

Any changes to your child's Extended Care schedule must be submitted in writing to both your child's teacher and Mrs. Merritt two weeks in advance.

 

Families will be billed for the number of days their child is registered to attend.  Billing will occur monthly and is due by the first of the month.
​

Late Pick Up Policy:

• A $10 fee will be charged for every 5 minutes after 5:30PM

• If a child remains after 6:15PM, police may be notified of an abandoned child.

• Habitual late pick-up (3 or more occurrences) will result in suspension from all Extended Care Programs, including Morning Care and Clubs, without appeal.

• Preschool - 1st Grade: Preschool Building

• 2nd Grade - 8th Grade: K-8 Building

Activities and Homework:

Preschool students will have time for outdoor play and structured activities while waiting for pick-up.

 

K-8 students will have a quiet period for homework.  Please note that After Care staff are not tutors and are primarily responsible for student safety.  If your child chooses not to complete homework, please send a book or quiet activity to occupy them.  Electronic devices are not permitted.

After Care Snacks

Parents/guardians must provide a nutritional snack and water each day for After Care.  Please label an extra snack so the teacher knows to set it aside for after-school use.

Communication

For questions or concerns, please send a ParentSquare message to Mrs. Merritt , who will direct it to the appropriate staff.

During regular school hours, you may also call the main office and leave a message for administration to return your call.

​

Personal Items

Students who bring personal items must keep them stored in their backpacks.  Program staff are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.  Please label all belongings with your child's name.
