Preschool Academics
As a Christian school, it is for such a time as this that we prepare our students to become disciples of God as well as provide a high-quality academic program. To achieve this high-level, holistic educational experience, we have teamed up with BJU Press as our core academic curriculum in PreK3 and VPK. BJU Press provides materials that support our educational and biblical philosophy by providing materials for Biblical worldview shaping, tools for developing critical thinking skills, increased academic rigor, and offer a variety of options for teaching strategies that include multiple learning styles. We are committed to preparing our students to be the ‘salt and light’ in the positions God places them in this world.
ABCs & 123s
While the foundation for early literacy begins with parents reading to their children, we take the foundation the parents have laid and begin building skills of letter recognition, learning letter sounds, and introducing sight words.

Students will practice mathematical skills with counting, number recognition, as well as learning basic geometric shapes.
Enrichment Classes
Our preschool students get to expand their learning beyond reading and math by spending weekly time in Spanish, Music & Movement, and Library. Students get to spend time daily at the playground and experience weekly Chapel lead by Living Hope's pastoral staff.
Spiritual Growth
Weekly Chapel is but one part of how we develop spiritual growth in our students. From praying before snacks and lunch, enjoying classroom Bible stories, to events like Journey to Bethlehem preschool students spend time in prayer and worship daily.
What to expect for PK3 & VPK learning experiences:
Pathways for Preschool- 3’s Program
Pathways for Preschool provides age-appropriate activities that encourage personal and social development, letter and number recognition, and motor skills development. Through the use of games, songs, and activities, our program encourages creativity and instills an early love of learning.

Footsteps for Fours- 4’s Program
Footsteps for Fours presents an active, hands-on learning environment that includes individual activities and group activities. Daily phonics, prereading, and math lessons explore foundational skills. Music, science, language arts, social studies, and handwriting give our young learners opportunities to explore their world.
