December 2022

Find, Feed, Restore

While Florida is know for is warmth and sunshine, the winter months can be quite challenging for those without a home or for families who do not have warmer clothing to dress in when the temperatures do drop.  During the month of December WCA families can bring in blankets, coats, new socks, or other warm items to help keep families warm this winter.

November 2022

Neighborhood Center of South Lake

In the ever growing economic instabilities many have come to struggle with food security amongst the other concerns that come with financial issues.  Our community has seen a drastic increase in those who need extra assistance to cover basic needs such as food.  WCA families are invited to bring in shelf stable food items throughout November up to the Thanksgiving Feasts to help those in our community.  Let's provide our neighbors with one less worry during the holiday season.

October 2022

Greater Clermont Cancer Foundation

On October 24/25 students may wear a shirt that reflects the color of a cancer that has impacted their family.  Traditionally October is pink for Breast Cancer, but we want to include awareness for all cancers including childhood cancer (gold) and others that are personal to each of us.  Families are encouraged to donate what they can with all funds collected going to the Greater Clermont Cancer Foundation who helps those currently battling cancer.

September 2022

International Dot Day

Students will get to show off their creative dots while raising awareness for a student chosen cause (ocean clean up efforts).  During this fun dress up day students will be asked to collect donations and bring them in on Dot Day (September 15/16).  All proceeds go to the Ocean Cleanup North Pacific  Foundation.
